bitopEQUI® LUNG Complete plus has been specially developed for horses whose airways are exposed to dust, dry air or other environmental influences and require additional care.

While the brine solution supports the airways’ natural self-cleaning function through its osmotic properties, Ectoin helps maintain hydration and supports the care of sensitive airways.
The ready-to-use solution does not require further dilution. For an intensive care routine, we recommend daily use over a period of 2–3 weeks. Afterwards, bitopEQUI® LUNG Complete (isotonic) is suitable for ongoing airway care.
Due to its hypertonic mode of action, the product should not be used in horses with very sensitive mucous membranes. In such cases, we recommend bitopEQUI® LUNG Complete or bi-medEctoin® easy breathe in an isotonic dilution.
From a regulatory perspective, bitopEQUI® LUNG Complete plus is classified as an animal care product and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure disease, nor does it replace veterinary advice or treatment. However, it may be used as a supportive care measure in consultation with your veterinarian.

Composition: Sodium chloride 3%, Ectoin.
Contents: 30 ampoules with 5ml solution each
Ectoin is a clinically intensively researched molecule of natural origin with a wide range of applications, including in horses. It has a purely physical effect and is not metabolised.
Application
The solution can be used undiluted. Depending on the fill volume of the inhaler, 10–30 ml should be placed directly into the nebuliser and nebulised.
For an intensive care routine, daily use over a period of 2–3 weeks is recommended. Afterwards, isotonic bitopEQUI® LUNG Complete is suitable for the long-term daily care of the airways as part of routine stable management.
Due to its hypertonic formulation, the product is not recommended for horses with sensitive airways. In such cases, bitopEQUI® LUNG Complete or bi-medEctoin® easy breathe in an isotonic dilution are more suitable options.
Please note: the solution should not be used as a carrier liquid for medication and should instead be nebulised separately.
